The driver of the Curze, a Callahan woman whose name was not released, died at the scene. Michele Martin, 48, also of Callahan, was taken to UF Health Jacksonville with serious injuries, according to the FHP report.

Troopers said Martin's vehicle had the right of way, and that fog was possibly a factor in the crash. According to the accident report, charges are pending.

All lanes of U.S. 1 at Pinebreeze Circle were closed while the accident was investigated and cleared.
