Both days of Florida Fall on the way

Who says we don't have seasons?

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Who says we don't have seasons? Both days of Florida Fall are on the way and they start tonight!

High pressure has moved into the Southeast- clearing our skies out, drying us out, lowering our humidity, and establishing a NE flow across our area. Cooler, drier air is moving into the Southeast over the next 48 hours, resulting in crisp, Fall weather.

Tonight expect clear skies and NE winds around 10mph. Overnight our temperatures will sink quickly through the 70s and 60s and into the 50s. Overnight lows will reach the low to mid 50s for most by dawn. Isolated locations that trend a few degrees cooler, (Lake City, Macclenny, Lake Butler, Jones Island,) may briefly reach the upper 40s. Coastal areas and river locations will be milder, bottoming out in the low 60s.

Monday will be absolutely picture perfect- starting out crisp and cool. Expect sunny skies and cool temperatures throughout the day. Expect light sweaters and boots weather all day- only warming into the mid 70s for a few hours during the afternoon. There are no chances for rain, and skies remain clear throughout the day. Ladies- skirt alert! winds will be brisk out of the Northeast around 15mph, with even breezier conditions along the coast.

Monday night will be downright chilly for us Florida weather wimps, break out the pumpkin spiced everything and light the backyard fireplaces! Overnight temperatures will sink back down into the mid to low 50s by early Tuesday morning.

Tuesday, the Northeasterly winds continue along with the clear skies and crisp, Fall-like weather. Sunny skies will lead afternoon temperatures into the mid 70s again for a few hours during the afternoon.

Tuesday evening, our Fall begins to erode with the re-introduction of humidity and moisture into our forecast. Overnight lows will only get down into the 60s overnight with clouds building in. Wednesday will be mostly cloudy and afternoon highs warm into the upper 70s. The rest of the week will be business as usual with afternoon highs reaching the 80s once again.
