Lunchtime to afternoon showers

Showers by lunchtime through sunset

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Sunday started out cloudy, with temperatures ranging from the mid 40s to the upper 50s, with the cooler temperatures across southeast Georgia where fewer clouds lingered overnight.

Temperatures climb into the low 70s early as a warm front lifts across southeast Georgia and northeast Florida. By 10:00am showers set in along I-75, tracking East.  The rain should be along I-95 by lunchtime. Afternoon potential for showers peaks with 90% coverage during the mid afternoon hours.

A few thunderstorms are possible along the leading edge of the showers, especially in the Suwanee River Valley area. Small hail would be the most intense factor to consider, and it would be isolated at best.  Rainfall totals should average around .30 to .50" .

The widespread rain wraps up around sunset and passing showers take over into the overnight hours. Monday starts damp and cloudy with decent chances for a passing isolated shower during the day.
