More than 1,000 people in Utah set a new record for the world's largest nativity scene.
Rock Canyon Park in Provo was turned into a scene from the Bible on Monday night for the feat, ABC News reported.

Volunteers dressed up as angels, as well as as other key characters from the biblical scene, including Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, the three kings and four shepherds.
"We had the idea four weeks ago on Monday and we had the idea and we really felt like this was something we needed to do," one of the event's organizers, Derral Eves, told ABC News.
"There's so many people out there that would really like to share with the world the true meaning of Christmas," he said. "Its' not about materialism; it's really about Jesus Christ. I think this was just a bold statement we wanted to make."
While several hundred people failed to show up, the group still had more than enough people to set a new Guinness World Record.
The previous record was 898 people.
