CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – Touch A Truck: Saluting Those Who Serve, presented by VyStar, returns with a patriotic twist to celebrate the country’s 250th anniversary.
The free event is scheduled Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Clay County Fairgrounds. There will be quiet time until noon, and lights and sirens after that.

Attendees can buy food from food trucks, take part in kids’ games and activities, and visit preparedness-resource booths and county service tables. Of course, there will be trucks big and small for children and adults to see up close.
The county will hold a special opening ceremony focused on the 250th anniversary from 10 to 11 a.m. That ceremony will include guest speakers and a ceremonial flag folding to retire the large flag in the Cattlemen’s Arena.
Community-nominated Veteran of the Year and Volunteer of the Year awards, presented by VyStar, will be announced during the event. Organizers will also provide information and resources for veterans and their families.
