YMCA Treadmill Tuesday YMCA wants to inspire people to get up and get moving No description found
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Tuesday is Treadmill Tuesday. It's a competition against the YMCA branches on the First Coast and the Tampa YMCA branches.
The goal is to see who can travel the longest distance. The competition lasts for 12 hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The public can take part by going to any YMCA and walking, running or jogging on the treadmill for 30 minutes. It is free.
The community can also participate by posting to Facebook and Twitter by using #TreadmillTuesday or tagging @FirstCoastYMCA. A post-workout picture of the dashboard showing the distance must be included.
The YMCA has an even bigger goal it wants to achieve with Treadmill Tuesday. It wants to inspire people to get up and get moving and to have them achieve the daily recommended 30 minutes of exercise.
