JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – There's only one artist that played at Florida Country Superfest last year and is back again this year. Colt Ford grew up in Georgia, but calls Jacksonville one of his favorite places to play.
Last year, the rain started toward the end of Ford's set lat Saturday afternoon. He finished, but shortly after, the concert was suspended.

Playing at the Bayou Country Superfest three weeks ago, Ford still remembers that he played through the rain to finish his performance.
"The weather doesn't frighten me," Ford said. "As long as there isn't lightning and nobody can get hurt, I ain't scared. I'm going to play. I don't mind getting a little wet."
Ford returned to the stage later that night with Jason Aldean. [Slideshow of 2014 Superfest]
"It was wild, it was rocking and just a whole bunch of fun. I went back out there with Jason after and did Dirt Road Anthem. That was fun, the show was great."

Ford says that he can't wait to get back on stage inside EverBank Field for the second year of of Florida Country Superfest. He says that seeing the response from fans when you play a stadium show is something he loves.
"They are fun. They are different. I play everything from honky tonks and everything, but here, when you get 40, 50, 60,000 people there, it's unbelievable. To be playing with Chesney and Brantley, who is one of my good friends. Tyler Farr is another good friend, it will be a lot of fun."
Ford said he loves our area, not only for the fans, but also for the golf. He says that despite touring for years, he still loves it.
"It's just wild and rowdy. That's just the way I play music. I don't know anything but that. I only have one gear, and that's high speed. For a big boy, I move around out there..
Ford takes the stage at 5:40 p.m. Sunday, but don't be surprised if you see him back on stage later in the night once again this year.
