The famous Louisiana family behind the hit reality series Duck Dynasty is back on television, and this time, viewers will see a new chapter as the next generation steps further into the spotlight.

In a new season following the lives of the Robertson clan, Willie Robertson and Korie Robertson say the timing finally felt right to return after years away from cameras.

The couple said the idea came when they realized their children — many now married with families and businesses of their own — had moved back home and were once again working together around the family company, Duck Commander.

“We kind of looked up one day and all of our kids were back home,” Korie Robertson said in an interview. “We all live right there together on this little family compound, and they all work with us in some capacity. We thought it would be fun to give fans an update on our life and where we are now.”

The new season follows the couple’s children — John Luke, Sadie, Will, Bella, Rebecca and Rowdy — as they balance marriage, parenthood and new business ventures while continuing the Robertson family legacy.

Much of that legacy still centers on the West Monroe, Louisiana warehouse where the family business began. But today, the Robertson brand has expanded beyond duck calls. Family members now run a variety of ventures, including coffee, retail and lifestyle brands.

Willie Robertson said it has been rewarding to watch the next generation step into their own roles.

“It’s been a blast watching the next generation,” he said. “Our cast has gotten way bigger because now you’ve got all the spouses and grandkids too.”

The season also features emotional moments for the family. The premiere episode includes a tribute to Robertson family patriarch Phil Robertson, whose influence helped shape both the company and the original television series.

Willie Robertson said honoring his father in the premiere felt important for both the family and longtime viewers.

“We thought it would be awesome to start out honoring him,” he said. “It’s a fun way for us as a family to remember him, but also for all the fans who fell in love with him over the years.”

While the season begins with reflection, it also captures joyful moments — including the birth of a new grandchild when Sadie Robertson welcomes a baby girl.

Korie Robertson described the season as a “full circle” moment for their family.

“It starts with the passing of Phil and ends with new life being born,” she said.

Through the ups and downs, the Robertsons say the core message of the show remains the same — highlighting faith, family and humor in everyday life.

“We’re not perfect,” Willie Robertson said. “But at the end of the day we all come around the table together, thank God for what we have, and forgive whatever happened that week.”

The family hopes the new season continues what they believe made their story resonate with viewers the first time around: a look at real life, strong family bonds and finding reasons to laugh along the way.
