The weekend showcase typically takes place in September. Last year, Hozier and Babadoobee headlined the musical weekend.
Starting in 2027, the Francis Field Weekend will be held on the third weekend in May.
The festival says this move will help strengthen the overall experience for artists, fans, partners, and the greater St. Johns County community.
Due to the move to May, there will not be a Francis Field Weekend held in 2026.
While the Francis Field Weekend will not take place in September, the free Sing Out Loud Local Artist Showcases will still take place as part of the festival’s 10-year anniversary celebrations.
More than 100 local and regional musicians will perform at multiple venues throughout the county.
Aside from the local artist showcases, other events such as the St. Augustine Songwriters Festival and St. Augustine Record Fair will be held for music lovers to attend.
Festival organizers shared this message for fans:
“To our Sing Out Loud friends and family,
Sing Out Loud Festival launched 10 years ago, and each year we’ve grown alongside our artists, fans, and community. As we look ahead, we’re evolving to ensure the best possible experience for everyone who makes it special.
The marquee Francis Field Weekend will move to May beginning in 2027, creating a stronger foundation for the festival in the years to come.
This September, Sing Out Loud will continue to highlight the local and regional artists who define the festival. The free Local Artist Showcases will take place throughout the month, featuring more than 100 performances alongside the St. Augustine Songwriters Festival, St. Augustine Record Fair, and additional programming across St. Johns County.
As we celebrate 10 years of Sing Out Loud, we’re grateful for the artists, venues, partners, and fans who have helped shape the festival into what it is today.
We look forward to marking this milestone together this September and launching the next chapter of Sing Out Loud in May 2027.”
