City’s ‘Get Covered Jax’ initiative set to launch Thursday (News4JAX)

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The City of Jacksonville is helping people without health insurance get coverage.

Last year, the Get Covered JAX! campaign helped reduce the number of uninsured residents by 34%.

From now until Jan. 15 if you need health insurance you can enroll in a private health care plan, through the Florida Health Insurance Marketplace.

Some plans even offer monthly premiums at $0.

You can start the enrollment process by visiting GetCoveredJax.com.

On Tuesday, News4JAX will host a phone bank to help answer any questions you may have. It will be from noon until 7 p.m.
