Is it Duval or St. Johns?: This unique neighborhood on the border has a foot in both counties

ST. JOHNS/DUVAL COUNTY – The 32259 ZIP code is widely considered to be in St. Johns County.

But there is one Duval County neighborhood off of Race Track Road that has a Jacksonville address.

The map below tells a better story.

On it, you can see that the Bartram Creek Preserve neighborhood borders the St. Johns County line almost like a cutout.

It causes some confusion for those living there.
