Crews work on Buckman Bridge as traffic backs up

NEW PHOTOS: Temporary repairs are currently taking place on the southbound side of the Buckman Bridge. SB lanes are expected to reopen shortly. More permanent repairs are expected to take place in the future.
Traffic had to be detoured off I-295 southbound before the Buckman Bridge on Thursday morning after the Florida Highway Patrol received reports that a span of the bridge had been lifted slightly at a joint.
