Uninsured women 40 years or older can receive the screening without cost. Women over 40 with health insurance can also be screened under their coverage.

It is recommended that women with an average breast cancer risk begin regular mammogram screenings at age 40.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in the United States, and 1 in 8 women will get breast cancer in their lifetime.

Early detection is better for treatment.

No appointments are needed to receive the screening.
