JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Texas-based Main Event Entertainment was approved Tuesday for a permit for nearly $4 million in renovations to the former Latitude 360 venue on Philips Highway near The Avenues mall, according to a report from The Financial News & Daily Record.

Main Event has listed job openings on its website, including a technician, a culinary manager and a restaurant operations manager.

Main Event could not provide the anticipated staffing level early Wednesday, but the company said it employs more than 100 people at each center, according to the Daily Record report.

Plans for the 46,000-square-foot renovation include bowling, a laser-tag arena, arcade games, billiards, a bar and dining areas.

Latitude 360, which is accused of owing several former employees back pay, filed for bankruptcy earlier this year.
