Man Found Guilty Of Putnam Teacher School's Murder
An Alachua County jury has convicted Hardrick Green of the February 2000 murder of his third cousin, Putnam County schoolteacher Margery Douglas.
Douglas was found stabbed to death and tied to a chair in her home in Hawthorne. Green was arrested a few days later driving her car in Daytona.
Green was sentenced to two concurrent life terms, for murder and robbery. Green rejected a plea deal that would have meant a 30-year prison term.
