JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police have linked the "apologetic robber" to several more Mandarin robberies.
Investigators said the apologetic robber hit many Mandarin stores, but has robbed the Winn-Dixie on Old St. Augustine Road most recently.

Police said it was the second time he robbed the grocery store. The first robbery he had a knife. The second time he had a gun.
Police have also linked the man to two robberies at the Island Food Store on San Jose Boulevard, one at the Village Inn on San Jose Boulevard, one at the GNC health food store on Old Saint Augustine Road, and two at Walgreens on Old Saint Augustine Road.
Glenda Strickland manages Island Food Store (pictured right).
"Everyone is on edge about this. It is a really serious situation for everybody," Strickland told Channel 4's Damany Lewis.
Strickland said her store was empty both times the robber hit her business. She said both times a man walked through the doors up to the counter with a gun demanding the cashier hand over the money. The robber said he needed the money because his daughter had been kidnapped.
The apologetic story about his daughter being kidnapped is how the bandit was given his name. It is also how police have linked the robberies.
Police have surveillance video of the robber, but said the video is not good. They have asked for the assistance from the public in identifying the man seen in the grainy video from one of the holdups.
"We have been right behind him but not able to to come up with him," Lt. Dan Principe said.
