The Jaguars will close the regular season on the road when they visit Oakland on Jan. 2.

Here's the 2004 Jaguars' schedule:

"Very few glamour games, but a standard division schedule," Channel 4 sports director Sam Kouvaris said.

There are five playoff teams and seven games against playoff teams on the schedule -- the Titans and Colts twice each, as well as the Chiefs, Broncos and Packers. Five of those seven games take place in the first half of the season.

The Jaguars will have eight games against teams who were better than .500 in 2003.

This marks the fourth time the Jaguars have opened and closed the season on the road (it also happened in 1997, 2000 and 2003). For the first time, the Jaguars will travel to Lambeau Field to face the Green Bay Packers and to Qualcomm to face the San Diego Chargers, who they played for the first time last season.

The Jaguars will also have played 20 games against the Tennessee Titans (21 including playoffs), the most against any NFL team. However, for the first time ever, they will not face the Baltimore Ravens (the Cleveland franchise in 1995).

This will mark the second time the Jaguars will not face a divisional foe in either the opening or closing week of the season. In September and October the Jaguars with face four AFC South rivals in six weeks, including back-to-back road games at Indianapolis and Houston. .

After the bye week they will be at home for four of the next five games.

All the Sunday home games will kick off at 1 p.m. Of the Jaguars' eight regular-season road games, two will be played on artificial turf in domed stadiums (Minnesota and Indianapolis).
