Police Investigate Armed Robbery At Brunswick Credit Union

BRUNSWICK, Ga. – The Sea Island Credit Union on Altama Avenue was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon.

Brunswick police responded to a hold-up alarm at 2:46 p.m. and were told a man with a handgun entered the credit union and demanded money.

Credit union employees described the robber as a white man with a medium build in his late 30s to early 40s, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 170 to 180 pounds. He had short, dark hair and a close trimmed beard.

The robber reportedly left the scene in relatively new, royal blue Ford Taurus driven by a woman with long dark hair.
