Suspect In N.Y. Bank Robberies Stopped On I-95
KINGSLAND, Ga. – A bank robbery suspect from New York is in the Camden County jail after a routine traffic stop Monday night on Interstate 95.
Jonathan Comitino, 34, of Kings Park, N.Y., was stopped about 7 p.m. after police reported he abruptly changed lanes upon seeing a patrol car.
A criminal background check revealed Comitino was wanted by the Suffolk County (N.Y.) Police Department for four robberies since April. Officers also report the tag on the Chevrolet Blazer he was driving belonged to another vehicle.
Authorities said Comitino will be extradited back to New York.
