Police: Kingsland Man Admits To Killing Wife
KINGSLAND, Ga. – A short standoff at a Kingsland home Sunday afternoon that began after police received a 911 call ended with the discovery of a woman dead and felony murder charges filed against the husband.
Derick Rohan Herbert, 38, gave himself up 15 minutes after Kingsland police arrived at the Innerlake Lane home to investigate a report of a homicide.
Inside, they found 37-year-old Kathleen William-Pajibo dead.
Police said Herbert confessed to strangling and stabbing his wife. He told police he had hoped they would kill him.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is assisting the city in the homicide investigation.
