KINGSLAND, Ga. – A 4-month-old girl was killed just after midnight Wednesday when her father went off the exit ramp of Interstate 95 and into a culvert. Investigators said the driver had no license and had been drinking.
Jeremy Paul Griffin, 23, and his wife, Jessica Nichole Smith, 23, were also hurt in the crash near Harriett's Bluff Road.

The Camden County Sheriff's Office said that Smith and the infant were ejected when the Chevrolet Blazer crashed. The infant died on the way to the hospital from head injuries sustained in the accident. Smith was transported to Shands-Jacksonville Medical Center with serious injuries.
Griffin is charged with homicide by motor vehicle, serious injury by motor vehicle, reckless driving, driving under the influence (third offense), driving on a suspended or revoked license (third offense) and endangering a child by driving under the influence.
Once Griffin is released from Camden Medical Center he will be transported to jail.
The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident and said the baby was not secured in a car seat. . More charges may be filed.
