According to the arrest report, witnesses saw Tolbert inside the store and Davis at the doorway, telling people to stay out. Police said they have confessed.

Investigators said that a lottery ticket found under Mashour's body had Banks' fingerprints on it. He has denied any involvement in the killing, but can't explain why his fingerprints were on the ticket.

Mashour was survived by his wife, Monerah, and three children.

After his death, his wife told Channel 4 that he considered leaving the job at the convenience store after he was robbed at gunpoint three weeks before he was shot. He reportedly wrestled with the robber and shot him. The man later died in the hospital, but the shooting was considered self-defense.
