JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A St. Augustine woman spoke out for the first time on Thursday about an incident during which she said a convicted rapist, who was recently arrested in connection with a Clay County woman's slaying, attacked her eight years ago.
Sexual offender Michael Renard Jackson is being held without bond accused of killing 25-year-old Andrea Boyer, whose body was discovered in the Wells Road Veterinary Clinic where she worked.

Information about Jackson's past revealed that he served 13 years of a 30-year sentence for raping a teenage Jacksonville girl in 1986.
Six months after his release from prison in 1999, police arrested Jackson after they said he broke into the home of Rev. Linda McGlocking in the middle of the night.
McGlocking identified Jackson, but a jury found him not guilty on charges of burglary and attempted sexual battery.
McGlocking said she broke down and started crying when she heard that Jackson was arrested in connection with the sexual assault and brutal murder of Boyer.
"My first response was, 'Oh my God, This can't be," said McGlocking.
Her emotions overflowed because she claimed Jackson had tried to rape her in 1999.
"He took his hand and began to strangle to keep me from screaming and by that time, I started to lose consciousness but I could feel when his hand released and I was gasped for air," McGlocking recalled.
She told Channel 4 that she struggled for 45 minutes and managed to convince Jackson to stop by praying and telling him she was a reverend.
"He started saying, 'I'm sorry. I feel like killing myself. Would you go to the kitchen and get a knife and let me kill myself?'" said McGlocking.
After making a call to her mother and father, and then another to police, Jackson was apprehended inside of her apartment.
A year later, he was acquitted.
"I, for the life of me, I was in shock when they found him not guilty. I was in shock," she said.
Jackson was sent to a secure facility for sexual offenders, but released in 2005.
McGlocking said she was again in shock when she learned Jackson was to be released, again.
She said she called authorities with a warning.
"I frantically told them they couldn't do this because if he's ever released, his next victim he will be killed to keep from being identified because I merely escaped death with him," McGlocking said.
Jackson was arrested in September 2006, when police in Clay County picked him up on a violation of probation because detectives said he failed to attend his mandatory psychosexual treatment.
Jackson went before Judge Michael Weatherby, and according to the state attorney's office and court documents, Jackson claimed he could not pay for the treatment.
The judge ordered he not be sent back to prison and that his probation be continued.
A few months later, Jackson was arrested, accused of killing Boyer.
McGlocking said she has a message for the legal system:
"Basically, you failed twice. Don't do it again. They failed me, they failed Andrea and they can't afford to do it again."
