Lake City Police: Woman Holds Up Pawn Shop

Lake City police are looking for a young woman who pulled a gun and robbed a pawn shop on Wednesday.

Police were called to Mr. Money on Main Boulevard after an employee said a woman who came in and asked questions about a loan, then produced a large hand gun and demanded all the money.

The robber ordered the employee to walk behind the counter and place all the money into a bag, then forced the employee into the restroom prior to fleeing the area, according to police.

No shots were fired and no one was injured in the robbery. Police said an undetermined amount of money was taken.

A Columbia County Sheriff's Office K-9 was called to the scene and attempted to track the robber, but she is still at large.

The robber was described as a woman, 15 to 20 years old, with dark brown skin, 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 115 pounds. She was wearing sunglasses, a dark blouse and faded jeans. The suspect produced the hand gun from a large tapestry-type tan shoulder bag.
