How many times have we heard community leaders tell us: "Crime problems in Jacksonville are everyone's problem," and prevention is a major part of the solution, especially for our young people.
So now we have former Jaguars star Tony Boselli answering the call for help. The Boselli Foundation and volunteers from Builders Care renovated an abandoned community center.

Let me say it again: a community center on Moncrief Road that was shut down and in disrepair with broken windows a leaky roof. It was a mess.
Boselli fixed up the building and his goal is to use the center, now equipped with computers and other equipment, for after-school programs.
But Councilwoman Denise Lee is attempting to block Bosellie -- she doesn't want his group to have control of the center.
But in actions lacking integrity and professionalism, when Channel 4 tried to ask Ms. Lee to explain her reasons, she hid from our cameras.
Shame on you, Denise Lee. Come out and justify your position.
Otherwise, let others like Tony Boselli make our community a better place for everyone.
