Man Pleads Guilty To Killing Woman Neighbor Police Say Motive Was Robbery
Harry Patrick has pleaded guilty to the stabbing death of his 76-year-old next-door neighbor in her Fernandina Beach home in November 2006.
Prosecutors said Patrick, 45, turned himself in after the crime and admitted he broke into Betty Anderson's home on Stanley Drive and killed her.
Patrick was charged with murder, home invasion robbery and grand theft. Police said Patrick's motive was robbery, but neighbors told Channel 4 that Patrick and Anderson did not get along.
Patrick was sentenced to two consecutive life sentences without parole.
