JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A jet ski and a 16-foot jet boat collided on Durban Creek on Saturday afternoon, killing 19-year-old George "Tyler" Rosborough and seriously injuring his 18-year-old girlfriend, Kimberly Anaheim.
According to Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission investigators, Rosborough and the operator of the boat, Kyle Broberg, 18, realized they were on a collision course, but the jet ski turned left and the boat turned right, with the boat running over the jet ski.

Rosborough was pronounced dead at the scene. Anaheim was transported to Shands-Jacksonville Medical Center by air ambulance, where she was in serious condition on Monday morning.
No one in the boat was injured.
Another boater heard the collision and took the two victims to the Julington Creek boat ramp at the end of Hood Landing Road, about 2 miles away, to get help.
Anaheim's mother said the two were doing what they loved: being out on the water with friends
Investigators said both victims were wearing life-vests, but were suffered injuries in the impact with the boat.
Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission officers said they were investigating whether speed in the narrow and winding creek played a part in the collision. They said a blood sample was taken from Broberg, standard practice in a fatal boating accident.
Officers said it was too early to know if charges would be filed.
