Armed Man Stole Liquor From Publix

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville police asked for the public's help on Monday in their search for a man wanted in a supermarket robbery.

The armed robbery took place at the Publix Supermarket on Merrill Road on March 10 at about 12:45 p.m.

According to police, a man wearing a dreadlock wig went into the liquor section and picked up two items before taking the items to the counter and pointing a handgun at the clerk and demanding money.

The man left the store on foot heading toward Townsend Boulevard.

The suspect was caught on surveillance tape. Police ask that anyone with information about the armed robbery call the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904- 630-0500 or Crimestoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS to remain anonymous.
