Hank Croslin Jr. Arrested On Grand Theft

Deputies Say Arrest Not Related To Missing 6-Year-Old Haleigh Cummings

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. – The family of Ronald and Misty Cummings are back in the news, but not related to their missing Putnam County girl Haleigh Cummings.

One of Misty Cummings' brothers, Hank Croslin Jr., 23, has been arrested and charged with grand theft.

According to investigators, one of Croslin's neighbors contacted the Putnam County Sheriff's Office on Aug. 25. The neighbor said he had recently noticed that a Colt Army Special .38 revolver was missing from his bedroom. The neighbor told deputies that Croslin and his mother Lisa had recently been inside his home to use the phone, and believed the theft had taken place during their visit.

Deputies said the neighbor then contacted another Croslin family member, and said Hank Croslin, Jr. or his mother had stolen the gun. According to a police report, the neighbor was certain one of the two Croslins had stolen the gun, because they were the only other people inside his home.

About two hours after the neighbor contacted a Croslin family member, Lisa and Hank Croslin, Sr. arrived at his home, and returned the gun. Deputies said the neighbor told them that Lisa Croslin said her son had stolen it, but the neighbor was not sure at the time who was responsible.

Croslin was then arrested on Tuesday. He is being held on $50,000 bond.

Putnam County deputies said the arrest is in no way related to the investigation into the disappearance of 6-year-old Haleigh.

Ronald Cummings was arrested last month following an altercation with Hank Croslin Jr., whose family calls him Tommy.
