JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police said they were forced to shoot and kill a 31-year-old man barricaded in a San Pablo apartment early Sunday after he raised a rifle.
Authorities said they were called to the Christopher Reynoso's apartment after he got into a violent fight with his wife. They said the Reynoso had been drinking.

Reynoso's wife was able to get out, along with two children. A Jacksonville Sheriff's Office SWAT team surrounded the apartment.
"There was a man with a rifle and they told us to use the back, to stay out of his line of fire," a resident told Channel 4's Steve Douglas.
Police said when Reynoso raised his rifle, a SWAT-team fired a shot, killing the man.
"Both marksmen saw the suspect raise his high-powered rifle, look into his scope," JSO Chief Rick Graham said. "Having no way, no way whatsoever to know exactly what that suspect was seeing or what he was about to do ... one of the marksmen took a single shot, rendering him deceased."
Residents said they can't believe something like this happened at their home.
"It's kind of nerve-wracking and this is the first time anything dangerous like this is happening and I've lived here, like, a year," one resident said.
JSO Chief Rick Graham said there would be a news conference Monday to provide more details of the shooting.
Channel 4 reported this was the 10th police-involved shooting in Jacksonville in 2009, and the seventh to result in a death.
