Felicia Thomas told Channel 4 her sixth-grade son was at a sleepover at his football coach's house with other teammates when it happened.

"I just thought the world of him. I was so proud of him," said Thomas. "I just looked forward to him growing up and becoming a man and really showing me what he's made of. I worked really hard on him."

Maxwell's autopsy was scheduled to be performed on Sunday.

Investigators have not given her many details about what happened and the Ware County Sheriff's Office refused to comment on the case Sunday, but said they may have a statement on Monday.
