The man asked the clerk for change, and when the clerk responded that she could not open the register unless a purchase was made, the man demanded that she hand over all the money in the register, implying he had a weapon concealed in his shirt, deputies said.

The robber fled the scene heading southbound across Palm Coast Parkway toward a path leading into the area known as "The Woodlands." A search was launched, but deputies said they were unable to locate the man.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call the Flagler County Sheriff's Office at 386-313-4911.
