Keon Sams, 17, received 25 years in prison followed by 10 years probation, along with 15 years for attempted robbery. Both sentences will be served concurrently.
They were two of three teens who pleaded guilty to killing 57-year-old Sarah Hotham in December. Hotham was delivering pizza at an apartment complex on Comanche Street when she was shot.
Jonathan Hartley, 16, was sentenced last week to life in prison in the murder. Hartley claimed the shooting was an accident after Hotham refused to give him any money.
"My condolences go out to the family of Sarah Hotham," Byrd said at his sentencing hearing Thursday. "I take full responsibility for my roll."
"I apologize," Sams told Hotham's family.
Hotham's relatives said they were satisfied with the outcome of the sentences.
"I honestly do feel for their families because they have no control. They don't know what to do," said Roxanne Tweedy, Hotham's sister. "And many have offered their condolences and have apologized, and I accept it. I accept it at face value."
