CVS Cash Drawer Robber Sought

Police: Man Took Drawer When It Opened During Purchase

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are looking for a man who they said grabbed a cash drawer when it opened at a CVS store just before 2 p.m. on Sept. 30.

The cashier told police the man walked into the store in the 6000 block of St. Augustine Road and made two separate purchases at her register.

During the second purchase, the grabbed the cash drawer when it opened, police said. The cashier tried to stop the man from taking the cash drawer, but the force the man used was too much for the cashier to stop him, police said.

The robber is described as a black man, about 6 feet 2 inches tall and 200 pounds. He was wearing a blue work shirt and blue jeans during the robbery.
