JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police announced the arrest of a woman they said fired three shots during a Westside bank robbery last week, along with two others in connection with that holdup and a string of armed robberies of banks, grocery stores and other businesses over the past several months.
Jerrica Duncan, 25, was stopped Thursday morning on Hendricks Avenue for having a stolen license plate on her car, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. The officer said Duncan matched the description of a woman who robbed the Synovus Bank on Lane Avenue the day before. Her car also matched the description of the getaway vehicle.

During that holdup, the robber pulled a handgun and screamed, "Give me the money!" before firing shots into the ceiling.
Police said that a search of Duncan vehicle turned up a baseball cap that matched the one worn in the previous day's robbery and a box with a large amount of currency.
The Sheriff's Office said Duncan implicated two others in connection with that robbery, the robbery of a Synovus Bank at the airport earlier this year, and several other armed robberies dating back to last summer.
Duncan is charged with five counts of armed robbery, including both Synovus branches, a Food Lion, a Gate station and an individual at a post office on Edgewood Avenue. Shantoria Lowe, 23, is charged with four counts of armed robbery. Michael Smiley, 30, was charged with last week's Lane Avenue bank robbery and the holdup of an individual at the post office.
