JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 34-year-old woman is accusing a JEA worker of assault.
Casey Nix said she was walking in her Venetia neighborhood in the Westside when a JEA worker came up behind her and pulled her pants down in broad daylight.

?They followed her and this guy snuck up behind her and she was kind of scared," said Nix's attorney, Donald Maciejewski. "She thought this guy was going to sexually molest her.?
Maciejewski said he is preparing to file a lawsuit against the city of Jacksonville for the physical and emotional damages his said his client suffered in the April 26 assault.
Channel 4 obtained the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office report, which said a JEA worker came up behind her and yanked down her jogging shorts, exposing her naked body.
Maciejwski said the man was laughing and making cat calls.
"It sounds kind of funny, but it?s not. It?s embarrassing and it?s scary, I suppose, to a lady," Maciejwski said.
Five JEA workers ranging in age from 26 to 47 were named in the police report, but Maciejewski said he is not ready to say which one assaulted his client.
?She did get a look at him. The other witness got a look at him," Maciejewski said.
That conflicts what what Nix told police, who told investigators, "I don?t know what his face looks like. He was running away.?
No charges have been filed.
Channel 4 was able to get one of the JEA employees Maciejewski named. That man simply said, "It didn't happen."
Maciejewski said Nix is currently out of town and was unavailable for comment.
"People in Jacksonville expect JEA to be professional. Not to be putting their hands on people, especially women," Maciejewski said. "It?s a lady. She?s by herself. She thinks she?s safe in her neighborhood. She?s not.?
Because this is an active investigation and there?s the potential for a lawsuit here, the city of Jacksonville and JEA would not comment about the incident.
