'Gentlemen's Club' Disappears From Sign

Stilettos Gentleman's Club Says It Operates As Restaurant

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A just-opened restaurant and bar next to an Arlington charter school has painted over the words "Gentleman's Club" on its sign.

Stilettos stirred up some controversy when parents showed up at Duval Charter School on Monday evening.

The manager told Channel 4 that night that the business is only a restaurant, despite the sign. City officials said the business was granted a liquor license as a restaurant, not as an adult entertainment establishment, which, by law, would have to be at least 1,500 feet from a school. If they were found to be in violation of their permit, they would be fined $250 per day.

Channel 4 went by the business Thursday and saw the gentleman's club words were covered.
