JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The show features features a quilt gallery of more than 470 quilts, seminars, quilt appraisals, vendors and a kid?s area.
?Quilting is an art form that you can take in any direction, any colors, any pattern, any subject, any size, so ?The Sky?s the Limit? theme really just sum everything up,? said Pat Pataki, one of the organizers of QuiltFest. ?Our show?s mission continues to be a source of information and inspiration, to perpetuate the highest quality of excellence in quilting and related arts, and to coordinate an annual exhibition of this art form that also reaches for the sky.?

QuiltFest is an open judged show. Prize money will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each of 12 categories, best of show, viewers' choice, artistic merit, best hand quilting and best machine quilting. Ribbons will be awarded for judge's recognition, honorable mention, and all young quiltmakers.
Show hours on Friday are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $6 daily, or $15 for a multi-day pass.
