ORANGE PARK, Fla. – A Clay County man has had to wait nearly a year to get the keys, but he now has a new car thanks to Oprah Winfrey.
Russ Kamradt picked up his brand new 2012 Volkswagen Beetle on Thursday morning at Volkswagen of Orange Park.

During last November's "Oprah's Favorite Things" episode, members of the audience found out they'd be getting the cars. But because the cars are 2012 editions, they had to wait 11 months.
Kamradt's sister nominated him to be in the audience for the show because of all of the volunteer work he does.
He's been to Haiti, works with the American Cancer Society and has donated 35 gallons of blood in his lifetime.
Kamradt thought the episode was just recognizing volunteers. He didn't know it would be such a big giveaway.
"I would like to thank Oprah, not just for her generosity for myself, but for all those that she's been helping, not just with the cars, but all over the world. It's really a great thing," Kamradt said.
He said he had been driving a van and was worried about the smaller size of the Beetle, but he said he's discovered there's plenty of room inside, adding that it's more plush than his old van.
