WOODBINE, Ga. – As three Jacksonville men were to go on trial Monday for the slaying of three men in Kingsland in 2008, a judge granted a request to move the trial out of Camden County.
Abdul Rahman Bessent, 23, Joseph Dashawn Stuckey, 22, and Roderick Devard Taylor, 21, are each charged with three counts of murder in the shooting deaths of Jamie Riddle, Michael Key and Phyllis Frasher at the Sea Park Apartments in Kingsland on Dec. 21, 2008.

Kingsland police said Key, 25, and Frasher, 28, were killed inside the apartment they shared. A third person in the apartment at the time was able to escape without injury.
Officers said as the gunmen left the apartment, two people were shot in a car that pulled up outside. Riddle, 33, died, and a second victim recovered.
At the time that the shootings, police said it appeared the shots were fired during a robbery attempt.
Bessent and Taylor were arrested in Jacksonville. Stuckey, a Jacksonville resident, was arrested in Ohio, where he attended college. All three were extradited to Camden County to face charges.
Chief Judge Amanda Williams granted defense lawyers' change of venue motion late Monday. There was no immediate work on where or when the trial would take place.
