JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – U.S. District Judge Marcia Morales Howard on Monday sentenced Jacksonville physician Robert Davis Williams to five years in federal prison and 10 years of supervised release for receiving images and videos of child pornography over the Internet.
Williams, 45, pleaded guilty to the charge in March.

According to court documents, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office got a complaint in October 2009 that Williams might have child pornography at his home. Officers said they saw a video file depicting child porn on Williams' desktop computer.
A search of the home and garage turned up hundreds of compact disks, DVDs, compact disks and VHS tapes containing pornography, along with hundreds of adult magazines, according to the documents.
United States Attorney Robert E. O'Neill said Williams' computer, digital camera, 41 VHS videotapes, 697 compact disks and DVDs, 62 floppy disks, and two zip disks were confiscated.
In a telephone call JSO detectives recorded on Oct. 26, 2009, prosecutors say Williams admitted, among other things, to downloading child pornography and apologized for his "sickness."
