SORRENTO, Fla. – A tour bus carrying dozens of students on a field trip to St. Augustine was involved in a crash with a dump truck Thursday morning in Lake County, authorities said.
The crash happened about 7:20 a.m. at State Road 46 and County Road 46A, near Sorrento.

The bus was carrying up to 40 children from Eustis Middle School, but no one was injured in the crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the driver of the bus missed a turn, and the bus hit the stopped dump truck after passing through a median.
The bus driver, who is not a school employee, told troopers that a glare on his foggy windshield caused him to miss the turn. The driver will be cited for careless driving, the FHP said.
The field trip was canceled.
The dump truck was carrying sand, and there was a diesel spill on the roadway, the Lake County Sheriff's Office said.
