Governor appoints 2 to JaxPort board

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Gov. Rick Scott announced Wednesday the appointment of John J. Falconetti and the reappointment of Reginald L. Gaffney to the Jacksonville Port Authority's board.

Falconetti, 43, of Jacksonville, has been the president of the Drummond Press since 1989. He has served on the Jacksonville Library Board, the Jacksonville Aviation Authority and was member of the board of directors of Enterprise Florida.

Falconetti has been a member of the Jacksonville Downtown Rotary Club, a member of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce's board of governors and a member of the Printing Association of Florida

Falconetti succeeds Lloyd "Buck" Fowler and will serve for a term beginning immediately and ending Sept. 30, 2015.

Gaffney, 53, of Jacksonville, has been the executive director of CRC Inc. since 1993. Since 2000, he has been the president of Northwest Support Services Inc. From 2006 to 2008, Gaffney was a member of the Florida Schools of Excellence Commission.

Gaffney has been a member of the Jacksonville Port Authority since 2008 and is currently the vice chairman. He was reappointed for a term ending Sept. 30, 2015.

"Having the chance to work with a potential billion-dollar economic jobs project for Jacksonville is exciting and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," Gaffney said in a statement.
