FHP: Palm Coast man killed in high speed crash

CRESCENT BEACH, Fla. – A 54-year-old Palm Coast man was killed early Saturday morning when he lost control of his BMW on a curve on State Road 206 in St. Johns County, left the road and struck a tree, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said John Wicker was driving east in excess of 100 mph about 1 a.m. about half way between U.S. Highway 1 and Crescent Beach when his car left the road, spun clockwise and struck a large pine tree.
