JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 29-year-old Jacksonville man on death row for two counts of first-degree murder died Monday in his prison cell.
William Davis was found alone and unresponsive in his cell at the Union Correctional Institution in Raiford on Monday afternoon, according to the Florida Department of Corrections.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death, officials said.
"At this point, we cannot comment further on the particulars of the death," an official said in a statement. "It is the protocol of the department to investigate the circumstances surrounding every inmate death."
Officials said that in accordance with constitutional, federal and state law, the Department of Corrections provides inmates with access to appropriate levels of care to meet their clinical needs.
Davis was convicted of killing his girlfriend's 16-year-old sister and the girls' mother in 2003, when he was 20 years old.
The bodies of 47-year-old Alice Albin and 16-year-old Loretta Wren were found stabbed to death inside a Westside mobile home. Authorities say a 2-year-old child was alive found in the home with the bodies.
