Palm Coast Burger King robber sought

PALM COAST, Fla. – Flagler County deputies were canvassing an area around Old Kings Road and State Road 100 for a man who they said robbed a Burger King Restaurant on State Road 100 in Palm Coast on Thursday.

Deputies said the man walked into the fast food restaurant at about 2:50 p.m., ordered food and handed the clerk cash. When the clerk opened the register, the man grabbed an undetermined amount of cash when the employee was attempting to close the drawer, deputies said.

No weapon was seen and the robber fled on foot toward the Flagler Regional Plaza, east of the restaurant, deputies said.

The robber is described as a black man, 6 feet tall and in his mid-30s. He was wearing a light colored baseball hat, a blue shirt and gray pants. He is believed to have been a passenger in a small black Jeep Wrangler that was seen in the area.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call the Flagler County Sheriff's Office at 386-313-4911.

Service at the restaurant and a nearby convenience store was briefly interrupted immediately following the robbery as employees secured their store doors.
