Teen arrested on child porn charge
ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – A 17-year-old St. Johns County teen was arrested Monday on a charge of possession of child pornography.
The teen was charged as an adult on a one count of the third-degree felony charge punishable by up to five years in prison.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible.
Because the defendant is a juvenile, the state attorney's office is withholding his identity.
The teen is accused of downloading and possessing movie files and images of boys who appear to be as young as 8 years old, many believed to be 12 years old, and as old as 16. The movie and images show men and young boys sexually abusing young boys.
The teen's bond was set at $10,000.
