FBI asks for information on suspect

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – The FBI has identified the suspect who they say shot two South Florida law enforcement officers Thursday evening on the Florida Turnpike before killing himself.

The FBI on Friday identified the gunman as 23-year-old David Edwin Bradley of Miami Gardens. Federal authorities also released his photo and asked the public for any information regarding Bradley's whereabouts on Thursday. Officials also asked the public for any witnesses or videos and pictures that were taken of the events.

The agency says the incident began with a carjacking followed by the barber shop robbery.

"He wasn't a big guy, was a small guy, probably like (5 feet 3 inches tall) with dreads," barber Dwight Francis, told WPLG-TV.

Francis handed over $350, but his customer, an off-duty security guard, wasn't about to let the robber get away.

"When the guy tried to leave, he opened fired on him," said Francis.

But, the gunman sped off, headed west, dumped the van and carjacked a blue Infiniti. He found his way onto the Turnpike, where he got into an accident and ran into a Key Biscayne police officer on her way home.

A female officer was shot in the neck and Gabriel Martinez with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is listed in stable condition.

Broward Sheriff's Office Deputy Enid Conley, 23, with the Dania Beach district was on her way to the scene was involved in a crash on Interstate 95 and Sheridan Street. She was hospitalized with a broken leg.

Cellphone and surveillance video caught the shooter walking along the highway just before he took his life.
