Second cash mob this weekend Jax Cash Mob planning to shop in Avondale Saturday
The Jax Cash Mob is preparing for its second tour through a local neighborhood.
According to the Jacksonville Business Journal , the group will meet at the Shoppes of Avondale this weekend to promote local businesses.
A cash mob is a group of people who gather at a local business and buy items from that business during a set period of time.
The last cash mob happened in April in Downtown Jacksonville.
To be a part of the cash mob, you must show up, spend $10 to $20 at a local store which will be revealed at 1 p.m., and meet three new people during the event.
The group is meeting May 19th at Mojo #4 at 1 p.m.
