Tracy Martin reports Trayvon, 17, missing day after shooting

SANFORD, Fla. – The 911 calls were released on Wednesday from the father of Trayvon Martin, the Sanford teen who was shot and killed by neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman.
Tracy Martin called the non-emergency 911 line for the Seminole County sheriff's office the day after the Feb. 26 shooting to report his son missing. At the time, he was apparently unaware of his son's altercation with Zimmerman.

The call was taken by dispatchers around 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 27. Tracy Martin tells dispatchers his son doesn't know anyone in the area and that they're in town staying with Tracy Martin's girlfriend, in the Retreat at Twin Lakes subdivision.
In the calls, you can hear Tracy Martin describing what Martin was last seen wearing-khaki shorts and a gray sweatshirt. Tracy Martin tells dispatchers his son was missing since the night before.
Zimmerman is charged with the death of Trayvon Martin. He has pleaded not guilty, claiming self-defense. He is currently being held at the Seminole County jail awaiting a second bond hearing on June 29.
